Happy New Year By: Master Mind James and I had been friends for about six years. When my 19th birthday came around in November, I invited James, his sister, Patty; her boyfriend, Chris; and my best friend, Brian. I wanted to have my birthday held at the bowling alley, one of my favorite places. Since it was my birthday, I was the first one there. Brian showed up second. Chris, Patty, and James all rode together. When they walked in, I noticed that another person what coming in with them. He looked to be about 6ft. It was hard for me to get a description since there was a lot of light behind him. All I could make out was a shadow. All four of them walked down to where we were going to be bowling at. Once they were down there, I could see this attractive boy even better. He was 6ft easy, brown hair, and the cutest chocolate brown eyes that I've ever seen. I walked over to James and asked, "Who is that and why is he here at my party?" "He is one of my friends from school. I figured that, since we were all on this side of town, he could come with us." I chose the couch and James was standing up with Tommy, who was behind me. As soon as the peach dropped, the room exploded with laughter and cheers. Tommy's parents were video taping the whole scene. It was a jolly good time. Then I heard someone say, "Hey Billy." (Tommy and I had become real good friends and we were to the point where we used shorter versions of each others' names.) The room got completely quiet and I recognized the voice to be Tommy's. I turned around to him to see what he had to say. "Yeah man?" I asked. Before I could say anything else, he bent down and placed a passionate kiss on my lips. His tongue was alive in my mouth and I loved it. I was in Heaven. I pushed Tommy up and stood up. "Who wants to play some more Monopoly?" I asked. I was completely lost for words and Tommy's dad said, "Sure, let's, uh, go play some more games." The rest of the night was silent.
