September 13TH, 2019. 11:27 AM. Jewlry Theft. 18-Year-Old White Male, 5’9”. The Loss Prevention Officer receives reports that a customer appears to be stealing itemsfrom the jewlry department of the store. He responds, detaining the suspect and returning to the Loss Prevention Office with the PERP in custody. Upon interrogation, he finds that the PERP has difficulty communicating in English. He speaks with a heavy Russian accent and becomes distressed when informed that the Police may have to be involved. He reveals that he fears being deported and will do anything to stay in the country. After some negotiation, he and the Loss Prevention Officer come to a mutual understanding that leaves both parties satisfied.
