JD Manning was wild and more than a little bit irresponsible when he was younger. He was raised by hippies and grew up with few inhibitions or guardrails. Combine that with the fact that he was a very attractive young man. He didn’t just sow some wild oats, he planted pastures full. It was when he got a woman pregnant that it sobered him up, as it were, and he started being more responsible. The woman was married, in an open relationship, and they agreed not to demand child support, but he had to disappear. He never even saw his son but, at the time, it was for the best. Later, though, he couldn’t help but wonder about his son, especially since he never had one of his own. He hasn’t had any way to get in contact with him, though. JD never even knew his name. When my son found out that his “father” wasn’t really his father he got genetically tested, hoping to find me.
